Mission & vision

The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), founded in 1947 by Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa in Porto-Novo, Benin (then Dahomey), is a Christian denomination with deep roots in prophetic and spiritual practices, particularly in West Africa. While the Church doesn’t always publish standardized global mission and vision statements in the way corporations or some denominations do, here are generally accepted versions of its mission and vision, based on official communications and church literature:

Mission of Celestial Church of Christ

“To evangelize the world through the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spiritual healing, and deliverance, according to the divine revelation given to the founder, S.B.J. Oshoffa.”

  • To preach the Good News of Jesus Christ and bring people to salvation.
  • To serve as a spiritual hospital for healing and deliverance.
  • To prepare believers for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
  • To uphold holiness, righteousness, and spiritual discipline among members.

Vision of Celestial Church of Christ

“To be a universal Christian Church, united in faith and spirit, leading souls to Christ and preparing mankind for eternal life in God’s Kingdom.”

  • To become a global spiritual beacon.
  • To unite people of all races and nations under the worship of God in truth and spirit.
  • To preserve the doctrines and divine ordinances as received by the founder.
  • To build a community of holiness, peace, and love, living according to the Word of God.
